Post 5: Changes to my Study Programme
During the time I have been studying my career I have noticed some good points about the study program, including the workload which I believe is very appropriate for the level of study we are on and the teacher's quality, but of course not everything is good about the program and there a some there are some points that if I could, I would change. To begin I would reduce the duration of the career by removing some subjects that I believe are not so necessary to the professional formation of the career, such as mechanics and electromagnetism, and teach some at the same time as one subject, for example statistics and calculus are so similar that I believe that they could perfectly be taught as one subject.
Another point I think is important it's the teaching methods, I know theory is very important for scientific careers, but the practical part it's the most important, and I have noticed this part does not receive the enough focus it should have to know why you are learning some subjects, and of course give them a more technological focus too, the world is constantly changing and each time the technology is being more and more necessary.
Finally, the last thing I would change are the faculty facilities, starting with improving the laboratories which I think are not adequately equipped, I remember that once during a laboratory there was a blackout, and some equipment could not work weeks later, and some study rooms where are not always the number of chairs or space enough.
